Know an engineer who would be open to a new role in power delivery? Send them our way. If we place them, you are paid a flat $5,000, every time, no sliding scale. Full terms below.
In short. Refer someone to Ampion who is open to a new role in transmission, substation, distribution, protection and controls, or power system studies.
If Ampion places them, you receive $5,000, flat, once they have completed 90 days in the role.
No sliding scale. No “up to”. No percentage of the fee.

1. Who can refer
The scheme is open to engineers, industry contacts, former candidates, and anyone with a genuine referral.
It is not open to anyone employed by Ampion at the time the referral is made.
2. What counts as a qualifying referral
A qualifying referral must meet all of the following conditions:
- The person is not already in Ampion’s active pipeline and has not been in contact with Ampion during the previous 12 months.
- The referral reaches Ampion before we make first contact with that person ourselves.
- The referred person has given permission for you to share their name and contact details with Ampion.
- The referred person is genuinely open to discussing new career opportunities.
- The opportunity falls within Ampion’s US power delivery practice, including transmission, substation, distribution, protection and controls, or power system studies.
If two people refer the same individual, the first valid referral received by Ampion will qualify. Timestamped records of incoming communications will determine priority unless there is clear evidence of an administrative error.
Ampion will determine eligibility in accordance with these terms.
3. When payment is triggered
The referral bonus becomes payable once the referred candidate:
- starts employment in a role secured through Ampion; and
- successfully completes 90 consecutive days of employment.
If the placement ends before the 90-day milestone for any reason, including resignation, termination or withdrawal of the offer, no referral payment is due.
Once the 90-day milestone has been completed, the referral qualifies even if the candidate leaves afterwards.
4. Amount
The referral payment is USD $5,000.
The amount is fixed regardless of salary, seniority, placement fee or any other factor.
5. How and when paid
Ampion will make payment within 60 days of the qualifying 90-day period ending.
Payment will be made by bank transfer or another payment method chosen by Ampion.
Before payment is made, the referrer must provide any information reasonably required to process the payment and comply with applicable tax or regulatory obligations.
The referrer is solely responsible for any tax arising from the referral payment.
6. What we do not guarantee
Submitting a referral does not guarantee that:
- Ampion will represent the individual;
- the individual will be interviewed;
- the individual will receive an offer; or
- any placement will take place within a particular timeframe.
Ampion decides independently whether to represent a referred candidate and whether they are suitable for available opportunities.
7. Fraud and bad faith
Ampion may reject or cancel any referral that we reasonably believe has been submitted fraudulently or in bad faith.
Examples include:
- fake or fictitious identities;
- spam or mass submissions;
- referrals made without the individual’s permission;
- deliberately misleading information.
If a payment has already been made and Ampion later discovers that a referral was fraudulent or submitted in bad faith, Ampion may recover the referral payment.
8. Changes
Ampion may amend, suspend or withdraw this referral scheme at any time.
Any change will not affect a referral that was submitted before the change took effect and already satisfied the applicable terms.
9. Liability
Ampion’s total liability under this scheme is limited to the value of the referral payment.
Ampion is not liable for indirect, consequential or reliance losses arising from participation in the scheme.
10. Relationship
Participation in this scheme does not create any employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between the referrer and Ampion.
11. Entire agreement
These terms form the entire agreement relating to the referral scheme and replace any previous discussions or representations.
If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
A failure or delay by Ampion to enforce any provision does not amount to a waiver of that provision.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to this referral scheme.
