Underground Transmission Engineering Manager

This firm's underground transmission book runs deep enough to be its own discipline, and it's hiring an engineering manager to lead design and EPC delivery for it, inside a much larger T&D practice.

Most firms treat underground transmission as an occasional add-on to overhead work. Here it's run as its own book, so you'd own the discipline outright instead of splitting projects with two or three other specialties.

Responsibilities

• Direct a multidiscipline team delivering underground transmission line design and EPC programs
• Answer for budget, schedule, and quality across assigned underground transmission scope
• Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients, and support proposal work
• Review engineering deliverables and provide cross-discipline technical direction
• Produce plan-and-profile drawings and equipment specs for underground transmission projects

Requirements

• Engineering degree plus 5+ years designing underground transmission lines
• Prior ownership of EPC or design-only underground transmission work for US utility clients
• Working familiarity with CYMCAP and Pull Planner
• PE license highly preferred
