What the search involves.
This US power engineering firm is bringing on a project engineer to help deliver substation design and EPC scopes through 765kV, with a defined path toward senior and lead roles.
You'd be producing real high-voltage substation designs almost from day one here, not spending two years redlining someone else's drawings. The backlog runs deep enough that variety, not boredom, is the actual risk.

- Build out protection & control and physical design deliverables for high-voltage substations
- Draft equipment specs and material lists to support procurement
- Coordinate directly with clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines
- Track project budgets and schedules, and help mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Engineering degree plus 5+ years of substation design work
- Hands-on high-voltage substation design experience, physical or protection & control
- Comfortable owning budget, schedule, and quality on assigned scope
- PE license preferred
Benefits
- Real design ownership on high-voltage substation work from your first project
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer-matched retirement, and tuition reimbursement
- An annual performance bonus on top of base pay
- Paid time off, and a flexible hybrid schedule after your first 90 days
- The backing of a Top-10 nationally ranked ENR power engineering firm
