Project Engineering Manager, Underground Transmission Line

A top-ranked power engineering consultancy is hiring a project engineering manager to lead underground transmission line design and EPC delivery, a specialised discipline within a much larger T&D practice.

Most firms treat underground transmission as an occasional project bolted onto overhead work. This one runs it as its own book, which means you'd own the discipline outright instead of competing with three other specialties for the same projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidiscipline team delivering underground transmission line design and EPC programs
• Own project budgets, schedules, and quality across assigned underground transmission work
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client interactions and proposal support
• Review engineering deliverables and provide technical leadership across disciplines
• Develop plan-and-profile drawings and equipment specifications for underground transmission projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 5+ years of underground transmission line design experience
• Experience managing EPC or design-services underground transmission projects for investor-owned utilities
• Working knowledge of CYMCAP and Pull Planner
• PE license highly preferred
