What the search involves.
A top-ranked power engineering consultancy is hiring an electrical project engineer to support substation design and EPC delivery up to 765kV, with a clear track toward senior and lead roles.
You'll be doing real high-voltage substation design almost immediately here, not spending your first two years redlining someone else's drawings. The backlog is deep enough that project variety, not boredom, is the actual risk.
Responsibilities
- Support substation design and EPC delivery on projects up to 765kV
- Develop protection and control and physical design deliverables for high-voltage substations
- Prepare equipment specifications and bills of materials for procurement
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other disciplines on assigned projects
- Manage project budgets and schedules, and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 5+ years of substation design experience
- High-voltage substation design experience, physical and/or protection & controls
- Comfortable managing budget, schedule, and quality on assigned work
- PE license preferred
